Overview
North Witham Village Hall CS, is run by volunteer committee members and is wholly to raise funds to enable us to provide a community hub, The field is a multi-use area, so you are likely to see people and their dog crossing on the public footpath, families and children making use of the open space and the play equipment, and on occasions events in the village hall, we believe this adds to the appeal of our rural site. We are situated in a small rural village with countryside views from site yet have great road access from the A1 and are ideal for transit stop offs. We also have a wealth of countryside to explore with great cycle routes and well maintained footpaths around the immediate vicinity and an array of interesting places if your able to stay a little longer. Places include: Woolsthorpe Manor – NT property – former home of Sir Isaac Newton Twyford Woods – former WW2 home of RAF North Witham (home of D Day Pathfinders) Easton Walled Gardens Burghley House – Stamford Belvoir Castle Grimsthorpe Castle Rutland Water Oakham – historic market town Stamford – historic market town
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
