Overview
We’re a family and dog friendly small campsite. Camp next to our private woodland and enjoy some amazing wildlife with squirrels, deer and badgers. You will be rewarded with some amazing views from the campsite, however venture a little further afield and stumble across the stunning landscape of either coastline or moorland. Were set right in the heart of the National Park, with bridleways, cycle ways and footpaths right on our own doorstep. Boggle Hole beach is 2.2 miles away where you can join the Cleveland Way heading either to Robin Hoods Bay or Ravenscar. Or simply enjoy the beach with its amazing rock pools when the tide goes out. The Beautiful cinder track runs from Whitby to Scarborough and is also easily accessible. Robin Hoods Bay is 3.4 miles away and home to sandy and family friendly beaches, fossils and the dinosaur coast. There are great places to eat, drink and some quirky shops. Whitby is 8 miles away with its abundance of history, attractions and connections to Dracula and Scarborough is less than 10 miles. Frequent local bus service with the nearest bus stop within a mile of the campsite, so no need to have to drive.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
