Overview
We are a small quiet family run camping & caravan site, based on the edge of the Northumberland & Scottish Borders in the beautiful parish of Ford & Etal.
Situated just off the A697, we have beautiful scenic views of the Cheviot Hills & Ford Castle. We are ideally situated with Newcastle & Edinburgh being 55 miles either side.
We have 5 caravan & 10 tent pitches, some hard standing. 16amp electric hook ups are available. For use on site we have a toilets & a portable shower, chemical toilet & pot washing facilities.
Ford Bridge Campsite offers you a warm Northumbrian welcome with lots to see & do, whether you fancy a spot of fishing on the River Till or having a ride on the Steam Train at Heatherslaw.
Locally, the village shops at both Ford & Etal stock a range of groceries or can provide morning breakfast rolls with fabulous coffee. Heatherslaw Tearooms, meanwhile provides a delicious afternoon tea!
Nearby attractions include Etal Castle, Flodden Battlefield Trail, Hay Farm Heavy Horses, Heatherslaw Mill, Lady Waterford Museum, Holy Island, Berwick, Bamburgh & Alnwick Castles, Kelso Abbey, Floors Castle & Gardens.
We look forward to welcoming you.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
