    Overview

Camping at Leek Club Site is a great base to explore the Peak District and the Potteries, home of the world-famous Wedgewood Pottery.

Our Leek Club campsite, located in the Staffordshire Moorlands and just a stone's throw away from the southern Peak District, will appeal to campers who enjoy nothing more than a good walk in a scenic location.

The campsite is bordered by trees, which offers some sheltered pitches to one side, and the site has a good range of facilities, including two facility blocks and a small play area for our younger campers.

Views to the north of the campsite reveal The Roaches, situated only a short distance away. Spanning almost 1000 acres, The Roaches consists of moorland, hillsides, and rock faces, offering climbers, walkers, and wildlife spotters a landscape to enjoy.

The villages of Upper Hulme and Meerbrook are nearby. Meerbrook has a reservoir and nature reserve, Tittesworth, which is within walking distance of Leek campsite. There are pleasant walks around the shores, water sports and fishing, and bird hides at the north end. There is also a Visitors Centre, adventure playground, and picnic area.

Another great way to enjoy the local scenery is to take a train ride. South of the campsite, the Churnet Valley Railway winds its way through the beautiful countryside known as Staffordshire's "Little Switzerland." Regular events and dining experiences are often available.

Leek campsite is also well placed to explore the Potteries. Stoke-on-Trent, south of the site, has several museums and galleries dedicated to the ceramic industry, which gave the Potteries its name.

There are two golf courses within 5 miles of the campsite.

Other days out from the campsite include family thrills at Alton Towers theme park, Go-Ape in Buxton, and the Peak Wildlife Park. Culture lovers may enjoy Chatsworth House or the National Trust sites, including Ilam Park near Ashbourne.
