Overview
An established family run site, we are looking to continually improve the visitor experience. Facilities block provides 6 toilets; 4 showers; (including family room with shower, toilet and washbasin); separate washbasins; indoor and outdoor (under cover) dish washing facilities; fridge; and freezer.
What we cannot improve are the views. The almost 360° views over the Biddulph Valley, Stoke-on-Trent, Peak District, Cheshire Plain to Wales, Greater Manchester and Merseyside are spectacular, both day and night - worth a stay on their own!
Excellent transport links – rail Kidsgrove and Congleton; road A34, A50, A500, M6 – make the campsite an ideal base for visiting local attractions – National Trust in Biddulph, Congleton, and Mow Cop; pottery museums in Stoke –on –Trent; Joderell Bank; to name a few. Slightly further afield, but still within about an hours drive, are other National Trust sites of Tatton Park, Lime Hall and Park, Quarry Bank Mill and Dunham Massey. Additionally, we are ideally located as a stop-over for travellers between Scotland and southern England.
Also an outstanding location for walkers, with numerous footpaths close by, in particular, the South Cheshire Way, Staffordshire Way and Gritstone Trail.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
