8-19 October: Wool Week at Cotswold Farm Park, Gloucestershire
As autumn kicks in, you might find yourself digging your woollies from the depths of your wardrobe. Wool Week is a good time to learn how to knit, spin or weave yourself something fabulous to wear during the cooler months, and where better to hone your craft than in the heart of wool country, the Cotswolds. Our Winchcombe and Chipping Norton Club Sites place you close to the action at Cotswold Farm Park, where visitors can join a felting workshop, and see demonstrations by the Gloucestershire Guild of Spinners and Weavers.

11-14 October: Falmouth Oyster Festival, Cornwall
Why not head to the Westcountry for a low-season camping break and tuck into some tasty shellfish along the way? Oysters are in season now and if you’ve never tried them, Falmouth Oyster Festival is the ideal opportunity to discover this delicacy, along with other local seafood.
The native Fal oyster will be celebrated with four packed days of entertainment including cooking demos from top local chefs, live music, food and craft stalls, a Grand Oyster Parade, a shucking competition and working boat race. Veryan Club Site is less than 10 miles away, or take your pick of a host of local Certificated Sites.
11-15 October: East Yorkshire DA’s 1940s War Weekend, Pickering Showground
If you love a bit of nostalgia, head to the 1940s War Weekend at Pickering, North Yorkshire. The event will be hosted by East Yorkshire DA at Pickering Showground and promises a full line-up of themed entertainment, including a full parade of military vehicles, music and socials in a heated marquee, re-enactments and the chance to take a ride on the famous Yorkshire Moors Steam Train.

24 October: Apple Day at Clovelly, North Devon
Harvest season is upon us and if you’ve already been out foraging among the hedgerows, you may enjoy the fruits offered at Clovelly’s Apple Day. The itinerary includes apple bobbing, stamping and pressing, a harvest hunt and small farmers’ market. Storyteller and botanist Isabella Necessity will also be on hand on her Story Bicycle to regale audiences with fascinating anecdotes of her fairytale travels and orchard explorations.
Our local Club Sites at Lynton, Bude and Umberleigh close for the season on 1 October but you can be sure of finding a great open Certificated Site nearby.
27 October: Halloween Party at Horsley Club Site, Surrey
As it’s Halloween month, with events taking place up and down the country – including at our Ebury Hill, Winchcombe, Chertsey and Bellingham Club Sites – we couldn’t let it slip by without a mention. Don your best ghoulish outfit and head to Horsley Club Site’s annual Halloween party in the site’s recreation room from 7-10pm. Bring your own refreshments.
28 October: Shuttleworth Parkland Estate guided tour, Bedfordshire
Stretch your legs, breathe the fresh air and admire the views at the historic Shuttleworth Parkland Estate near Biggleswade on a two-hour guided walking tour. Learn about the park’s historic features, and how the property is carefully managed and preserved. The tour begins at midday, with a welcome at the main house for 11.45am. Tickets £10.
St Neots Club Site is less than 10 miles away and open until 5 November 2018.
