Walking boots from Club partners Hi-Tec are now Duke of Edinburgh’s Award recommended kit, and the Club can offer members an exclusive 30% discount when buying online.
Hi-Tec is now the recommended kit supplier for low and mid-tier expedition boots, which are selected to provide reliable equipment for anyone undertaking Bronze, Silver or Gold expeditions.
The walking boots recommended by the DofE are the Eurotrek Lite WP, Eurotrek III WP, Bandara II WP, Bandera Lite WP, Aysgarth WP, Mount Lennox WP, Ravine WP and Summit WP. Prices range from around £45 to £100.
All are available in men’s and women’s sizes, with a selection of colours and material combinations, including full leather and suede. DofE official retail partners include GO Outdoors, Blacks, Millets and more.
What’s more the Club works in partnership with Hi-Tec to offer members an exclusive 30% discount off outdoor footwear including waterproof hiking boots, walking trainers and more bought online at its website.
To access the Club member exclusive voucher code, visit the Retail Discounts area of the Club’s website.
The Club became a licensed Operating Authority of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in April 2018, working in close partnership to support their inspirational charity work which transforms the lives of millions of young people from all walks of life.
Children can do their DofE Awards with the Club, as a natural extension of what they’ve learned with Camping Club Youth.
Children taking part need to complete four sections (five at Gold level): Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. The fifth section for the Gold Award level is Residential.
If a Club member’s child is keen to undertake their DofE, they should contact the Club to find out more.
