Win a unique caravan with the Club
The Camping and Caravanning Club has launched its big competition for 2020 to give away a unique – and colourful – caravan to one lucky winner.
The competition prize is a new Basecamp 4 Special Edition crossover camping vehicle, or CCV, from Swift Group adorned with a design by a world-renowned artist.
Graham Dews, who is better known by his graffiti name tag Paris, created his work of art on a Basecamp 2 on the opening day of the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the Birmingham NEC. The design will be transferred to the Club’s competition prize - a new model launched at the show.
Win a Special Edition Basecamp 4
The Swift Basecamp, which has been designed for action-loving caravanners, is a fitting artistic subject for Paris as it already comes with a choice of striking exterior graphic packs including a Union Jack style and a target design.
The Camping and Caravanning Club’s Simon McGrath said: “This is an incredible prize to win and one that will turn heads on any campsite."
The competition prize also includes a Vango porch awning, one year’s free Club membership plus a week’s free camping on a Club Site, together worth over £22,000.
The competition highlights well-matched car and caravan combinations as part of the Club’s ‘No B+E? No Problem’ campaign. Drivers who passed their test on or after 1 January 1997 automatically hold a B car licence, which enables them to drive car and caravan outfits with a combined maximum authorised mass of up to 3,500kg.
The Swift Basecamp gets a bold design
Despite this licence restriction, there are still hundreds of tow car and caravan combinations that fall within this limit that can be legally matched and safely towed, including the Swift Basecamp 4.
The Club’s Technical Manager, Ian Hewlett, added: “Advancements in technology and improvements in the manufacturing process mean that caravans are becoming increasingly lightweight and easier to manoeuvre than ever before.
“There’s now more choice for caravans than ever to help give owners confidence they’re buying the model that is best suited to their needs.”
