The event, which runs from 27 May to 2 June this is focused on ’simply incredible moments’.

The national park, in which the Club has seven great campsites, was followed in the league table by Cornwall, the Scottish Highlands, the Peak District and Devon.

The survey of 750 adults who camp regularly also found that 91 per cent are keen to explore the UK’s hidden gems, and 79 per cent camp four times a year.

The findings are helping to drive entry into the Club’s photography competition, Picture The Moment, with Club President Hamza Yassin (right) among the judges who will pick the winning entries.
