Belmont Leisure believes it is the first company to offer a model like this for motorhomes, despite the model’s success for other holiday accommodation such as static caravans and super yachts.

Co-founder Matt Sims, who also founded the Motorhome Holiday Company, said: “Timeshare has a bad reputation – long sales pitches, ten-year contracts and the same holiday year-in, year-out. This is different, this is a holiday share scheme – with a motorhome you get a different holiday experience every time. One week in Cornwall, the next week France!”

Belmont will be offering luxury, fully-equipped motorhomes with customers able to buy into a three-year scheme with the option to pay one up-front fee, or pay a slightly lower upfront fee and the rest in additional monthly payments. For that you will get five weeks holiday per year, two in the summer, two in the spring or autumn and one in the winter.
