Subaru Outback

While it may not especially epitomise Australia, the Subaru Outback – so named for its moderate off-road capability as well as the arid regions of Oz – could still be seen as a towing prospect for UK caravan owners.
The Outback name was used as a derivative for previous Legacy models, but we’re now on to the fifth generation of this vehicle and the tweaks employed by Subaru, along with the additional technology on offer, have made it a more affable consideration for British buyers.
For starters ride height, position and general comfort for the driver are a world apart from other cars I’ve driven in this category. The Outback glides around corners, soaks up bumps and potholes and grips like a vertigo sufferer on Everest.
