perfect for those who need to keep up to date with their box sets whilst away.
Cello says that at just 2.4kg, this is the lightest smart television in the world. It’ll run off either a standard 230V socket or a 12V cable and can be attached to a pre-existing wall-mounted bracket or be free-standing when used with the mount supplied. With built-in wifi and a satellite tuner, you’ll not only be able to pick up the free-to-air channels, but you can also download apps such as Netflix and YouTube to watch your favourite streamed shows too. We found the on-screen interface very user-friendly and the picture quality, contrast and brightness were exceptionally good considering the price of the TV. Two HDMI inputs and a USB 2.0 port mean plugging in external devices such as a games console is also a breeze. One thing we struggled with however, was the remote control. We found the buttons either too sensitive or not sensitive enough to our inputs. When typing in wifi details using the remote, it frequently replicated characters or moved the cursor in different directions. This was a problem we could find no solution to, since to use these web functions the only way to enter information is to use the remote. We could only persevere and eventually managed to persuade the TV to accept our details. But it was a fairly fundamental issue with an otherwise decent product, and tainted the set-up experience for us. Be aware as well that you will need to supply your own aerial cable, as the TV doesn’t come with one supplied. While we were very impressed with the Cello Smart Traveller TV, can vouch for how exceptionally lightweight it is and can’t really fault it at this price, the difficulties with the remote were a big cause of frustration in getting the TV set up.
