Holkham Hall is always worth a visit, especially for its fun-filled 'Pedal Norfolk' cycling festival.
This year's event is focused on families, and on Bank Holiday Monday the grounds of Holkam Hall near Wells-next-the-Sea come alive with all sorts of activities including a children's cycling academy, fun-fair, live entertainment, thrilling shows, challenging sportives and a fantastic array of food and drink. Even if cycling isn't your thing, the beauty and drama of this stately home and its enormous 25,000-acre grounds are reason enough to visit; there are tons of nature trails across its sweeping park, a walled garden, woodland play area, bike and boat hire, not to mention the great hall itself - a stunning 18th century mansion.

Holkham is two miles west of Wells-next-the-Sea on the main A149, within easy reach of Norwich on the A1067, King’s Lynn on the A148, and London and Cambridge from the M11 and the A10.
