River Cottage Festival 2018

You choose how to enjoy the festival: you can lie back and relax in the beautiful surroundings of River Cottage HQ while enjoying some delectable culinary delights, or get stuck in and take advantage of all the activities on offer. For those who fancy building up an appetite, you could start the day with an activity – perhaps a yoga class or go on a foraging tour. The children will be spoilt for choice with activities such as circus skills, musical instrument-making, bushcraft and pottery workshops to keep them entertained. While they’re having fun, take the time to laze in the wild flower meadow with a backdrop of rolling Devon hills enjoying a cider or even a cocktail or two.

As you would expect there’ll be food a-plenty. They will be joined by a host of well-known chefs who’ll be giving cooking demonstrations. You can choose from a fantastic selection of cookery masterclasses and the River Cottage chefs will be cooking up delicious seasonal food for you to enjoy, either as a sit-down meal in the famous farmhouse or snack outside in festival fields. And, there will be some of the best street food stalls around as well as plenty of tasty treats for you to take home.

Of course it wouldn’t be a festival without live music. The soundtrack to the weekend includes mellow acoustic artists to help you chill out and soak up the magical River Cottage atmosphere and some lively foot-stomping bands to really get the party started once the sun sets.

Finally, as the day comes to end you can stroll across the fields in the moonlight to the campsite where you can choose to stay in either your own tent (book a Weekend Festival ticket) or why not book a gorgeous Honeybell’s tent for a little bit of luxury?

On the A35 head towards Exeter. Turn left onto Trinity Hill Road (signposted Comboyne I Rousdon). Follow this road for about 1 mile and the entrance to Park Farm is on the right.
