Festivities take place at Whin Park
Christmas isn’t truly underway in Inverness until the big switch on in Whin Park. More than 5,000 people turned out in 2016 to the free event in the largest outdoor park in Inverness. It’s only a 20-minute walk from the town centre, and the reward is a Winter Wonderland for all the family. The little ones can meet Santa and his reindeers, enjoy the fairground rides, and marvel at the illuminated decorations. For the whole family, there are food stalls, festive refreshments and live performances. The whole event begins with the switch on by Santa and the Provost.
