The Gruffalo’s 20th Birthday!

You are invited to a very special party this summer at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, celebrating The Gruffalo’s 20th Birthday!

Join the much-loved monster with ‘purple prickles all over his back’ at The Gruffalo Summer Party, for a spectacular song and dance with some of your favourite picture book characters. Race Stick Man, duel The Highway Rat, breathe fire with Zog, meet Betty o'Barley and Harry o'Hay the Scarecrows, fly with Room on the Broom’s Witch and finally come face to face with The Gruffalo to help him blow out his 20 birthday candles!

Showcasing at Chessington’s Gruffalo Arena from July 19 – September 2,  the whole family will be singing and dancing with their favourite picture book characters.

And that’s not all the Gruffalo fun to be had at the Resort. There’s the ever popular Gruffalo River Ride Adventure. Splashdown the lazy river as the story of The Gruffalo magically unfolds in front of your eyes with exciting twists and turns along the way.

PLUS Witch and Cat need your help to find her lost belongings in Room on the Broom - A Magical Journey – brand new for 2019 at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.

Visit the enchanted library and walk through the pages of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s book to be part of this spellbinding new adventure.

As the stormy wind blows, sending the Witch’s hat, bow and wand tumbling to the ground, you’ll have to search high and low in trees, fields and reeds helping Dog, Bird and Frog on your way. Watch out though for a fearsome foe, Dragon, who fancies ‘Witch and chips’ for his tea!
