Visiting RHS Hyde Hall
Another Royal Horticultural Society garden, Hyde Hall is one of the most unusual gardens in Essex.
Set in an exposed area of the county with low levels of rainfall, the conditions make it very challenging for gardeners, resulting in an array of unusual plants and flowers for visitors to explore.
The most famous section of the gardens is the Dry Garden, which is home to Californian poppies and vibrant purple Lubecca.
This garden will provide great inspiration to gardeners who believe that they can’t grow flowers as they don’t have the right conditions.
Alongside the beautiful gardens is a cafe, plant centre and gift shop, as well as a reading room to gather up some tips for your own garden.
