    Overview

    Charmouth Club Site is ideally situated for exploring the area’s many popular resorts, including Lyme Regis, Charmouth, West Bay and Beer.

     

    This well-maintained site offers spacious pitches in small clusters, bordered by hedges and bushes, providing a peaceful and secluded atmosphere.

     

    While on site, campers can enjoy the exceptional washroom facilities, including a fully accessible shower room for wheelchair users. There’s also a fabulous play area, games room, a large on site shop, plus various food vans.


    For those interested in fossil hunting, the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre is a must, offering valuable information and guidance. Other notable days out include the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens, which are truly impressive.


    Abbotsbury Swannery is perfect for children, while the Seaton Tramway’s narrow-gauge trams offer a unique way to enjoy the breaking views of the Axe Valley.

    		 These are grass pitches with no electric hook-up or other services, suitable for a standard sized tent, caravan or motorhome.

    		These are jumbo grass pitches with no electric hook-up, suitable for units measuring more than 5m x 9m.


    		These are jumbo grass pitches with electric hook-up, suitable for units measuring more than 5m x 9m.


    		These are super service hard standing pitches with electric hook-up, fresh water and waste drainage, suitable for those looking for a little more luxury whilst they camp.

     

    Access and SatNav Advice

    Do not take the Monkton Wylde turn-off; follow the brown caravan signs to Site. Please use Scotts Lane if you are using a satnav to get to the site.


    Worth Noting

    • Hardstanding with electric pitches on this site are suitable for all unit types, including tents.
    • Local fishing available.
    • Winter, summer and nightly storage is available by special arrangement.
    • Caravan Holiday Homes available for purchase, contact the site.
    • Super Service Pitches are located a two minute walk away from the main facility block via a well-lit wooded area. We do not recommend these pitches for anyone with severe mobility issues.

    The Fleet Air Arm Museum is devoted to the history of British naval aviation. It has an extensive collection of military and civilian aircraft, aero engines, models of aircraft and Royal Navy ships, and paintings and drawings related to naval aviation.

    Seaton Tramway

    Ride the heritage tram alongside the River Axe estuary for three miles through two nature reserves giving an unrivaled view of the abundant wading bird life. Return back to base or enjoy a lovely river walk part way back before catching the tram again for the final mile.

    Mapperton House

    The Nations Finest Country House" Country Life Magazine. The principle location for the recent Thomas Hardy film 'Far from the Madding Crowd' A glorious sandstone manor house with 15 acres of gardens tumbling down the coombe deep in Dorset.

    Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary

    Visit the donkeys at the family-friendly sanctuary. Free entry and parking. Open all year.

    Harry May Fishing

    Climb on board one of Harry's boats for a safe and fun fishing trip. Harry will even prepare your catch so it's ready for cooking.
