Overview
Situated near the seaside town of Cromer, our West Runton Club Site offers the opportunity to explore the beautiful, varied coast and countryside of Norfolk.
Commanding a secluded location close to the quaint seaside village with which it shares its name, West Runton Club Site is a pretty and spacious campsite.
Surrounded by trees, this beautifully maintained site boasts roomy showers, a parent and child room, laundry, washing up area and a lovely dog walk.
A short walk from the campsite brings you to the charming fishing village of West Runton, ideal for sunbathing on the sandy beach or exploring the plentiful rock pools. Further afield, Sheringham and Cromer are both within walking distance of the campsite and offer sandy beaches, piers and promenades.
A mile south of the campsite, Beacon Hill is the highest point in Norfolk. Scale the dizzy height of 300ft, and reward yourself with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and coast.
Comprising dune, marsh and shingle, Blakeney Point is home to seals and seabirds – take a ferry from Mortson Quay to see them in their natural habitat.
Come face-to-face with more animals at Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre – both close to the campsite.

Worth Noting
- Many pitches are sloping and chocks will be required.
- Two boules courts are available.
- West Runton Beach is approx 1 mile from the campsite.
- Club Wi-Fi is not available on this site
Access and SatNav Advice
Difficult access via rough surfaced lane through woods with passing places.
Please do not follow Google maps directions to the site, these are incorrect. Please follow the directions below:
• If travelling from Holt on the A148, turn left on to Sandy Lane (opposite Roman Camp Inn). Turn left at T junction. The turning to the campsite will then be approximately 60m on your right opposite Roman Camp static site.
• If travelling from Norwich on the A148 turn right immediately after the Roman Camp Inn, turn left at T junction. The turning to the campsite will then be approximately 60m on your right opposite Roman Camp static site.
• If travelling on A149 from Cromer, in West Runton turn left onto Station Road, after about 1 mile uphill, just before Aylmerton village sign turn left into the campsite lane.
• If travelling on A149 from Sheringham, in West Runton turn right onto Station Road, after about 1 mile uphill, just before Aylmerton village sign turn left into the campsite lane.
Eat Local
Sheringham Market takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Cookies Crab Shop in Salthouse & Rocky Bottom at East Runton serve local fish, crab and lobster. Roman Camp Hotel serves afternoon tea.
