Whether you just want to relax in peaceful nature, try your hand at adventure on one of Cornwall’s best surfing beaches, or take off on a hike along the stunning South West Coast Path, this campsite is the ideal base.

    With grass and hardstanding pitches for all camping unit types, the hedge-lined privacy of this site offers outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. It’s perfect for solo campers, couples, and families thanks to the on-site children’s play area.

     

    Charming towns and villages

    As well as the usual delights of Cornish cliff tops and beautiful beaches, the area boasts picturesque fishing towns such as Boscastle, as well as spots full of myth and legend like Tintagel, where you’ll find castle ruins that were allegedly the birthplace of King Arthur. Boscastle is the best place to grab some local grub, with pubs such as The Riverside and Napoleon Inn highly rated by campers.

    Local area

    Crackington Haven

    Dominated by the steep cliffs of Pencannow and by the headland of Cambeak, Crackington Haven Beach is a pretty sand and shingle cove located on the North Cornish coast, a few miles south of Bude.

    Boscastle Harbour

    Historically a haven for Cornish smugglers, Boscastle is a charming village and fishing port on the north coast of Cornwall. Towards the outer harbour a ‘blowhole’ sometimes sends plumes of spray up into the air.

    Bodmin Moor

    Surrounded by bent, stunted trees and eerie mining ruins, Bodmin Moor can appear desolate and inhospitable. But look a little closer and there’s much to discover including Bronze-Age ritual sites, and Neolithic hilltop enclosures.

    Tintagel Castle

    Widely thought to be the King Arthur’s elusive Camelot, Tintagel Castle is a medieval fortress perched on the edge of a sea cliff on the rugged northern coast of Cornwall.
