    Overview

    Enjoy the tranquillity of the Snowdonia National Park from this peaceful rural site.

    Our Bala Club Site boasts an idyllic rural location just outside the eastern boundary of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and six miles north of the lake after which it is named. Surrounded by amazing scenery, Bala campsite is the ideal base for exploring the attractions of North Wales.

     

    The pretty and secluded 45 pitch site is level and well maintained with a good range of facilities including toilets, showers, laundry and a small children’s play area. A short drive away, the town of Bala offers a variety of shops, a petrol station and places to eat. Sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and fishing are all possible on Bala Lake and there are good walks and cycle routes from here too. Bala Lake Railway and the Ffestiniog Railways are great ways to take in the local scenery.


    Less than an hour’s drive from Bala campsite is Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak. Scale its heights on foot or catch the train to the summit.


    Local resorts with good sandy beaches include Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Harlech, Barmouth Fairbourne and Aberdovey.

    		These are super service hard standing pitches with electric hook-up, fresh water and waste drainage, suitable for those looking for a little more luxury whilst they camp.

     

    Worth Noting

    • Narrow approach road, no passing places.
    • Please note there is poor TV reception.
    • Bala lake is approximately 6 miles from the campsite


    Eat Local

    Bryntirion Inn serves locally grown and reared produce. Rhug Organic Farm sells home-reared black beef and lamb as well as home-made burgers and sausages.
