If you can sleep through the traffic/train noise is a perfect location for both activity based holidays and city sightseeing. The Anderton boat lift is a must see if in the area. Lovely and close to Chester for a walk round the walls. The site is spacious and well laid out but the road noise was constant and there is a train stops every 20 mins and also runs through the night which meant we didn't really sleep. Showers, wash up and toilets were spotless and plentiful.

This was our first time towing a caravan so we looked for somewhere easy to get to.

This was our first time towing a caravan so we looked for somewhere easy to get to. Delamere was only 20 miles from our home so was a nice short distance. The site was fantastic. the Staff helped us pitch on a lovely part of the site which backed on to the Forest. The site and facilities are very clean and to a good standard. lots of opportunity for activities like walking or bike riding through the forest and surrounding area. Highly recommended.

Visited 10-12 March to try out our Motorhome. Perfect site for a short break with walks, Go Ape and cycling directly into the Forest. We didn't venture out of the forest apart from a quick trip to top up supplies at the local shop (1 mile), which I did on my bike. Handy there's a train to Chester, may be next time. Kids 12&9 loved running straight into the forest. Pitches were pretty level and well maintained. I'm struggling to find any areas to improve as it is important to bear in mind it was early March, so the grounds will look much better when the weather is warmer. Will return.
