Tregurrian is a great for watersports & people looking for a seaside holiday.

Camp at our Tregurrian Club campsite and you’ll be spoilt for choice of beaches to visit. There are fourteen close to our stunning campsite in the North Cornwall, located just north of the popular seaside town of Newquay.

Watergate Bay is the closest and is a short walk from the campsite along the South West Coastal Path. This two-mile stretch of golden sand is popular with families. The Atlantic swell here also makes it equally appealing to watersport lovers. The beach hosts annual surfing events too.

Surfers will also be drawn to Newquay for Fistral Beach which also hosts a number of events through the summer including surf championships, a fun dog show and the popular Boardmasters event which includes skate and BMX competitions, live music and competitive surfing. Other attractions of the town include Newquay Zoo, and the Lappa Valley Steam Railway and you could spot seals and dolphins in the harbour.

Our pretty Tregurrian campsite offers 90 level pitches. The well thought out site has immaculate faciliites including a handy wetsuit shower.

A few miles up the coast Padstow has some excellent restaurants, including one owned by celebrity chef Rick Stein while Watergate Bay is home to Jamie Oliver’s 15 Cornwall Restaurant.

Worth Noting

There is a wetsuit shower on site. Watergate Bay Beach is just 0.75 miles away and is dog-friendly all year round.

We have stayed here several times during June and July. At all times the site has been welcoming with friendly staff and clean well cared for pitches and facilities. We like this site as it is close to amenities but you feel as though you are in the country but you know you are not far from the coast. There is a lovely flat walk across fields to reach the coastal path and you can walk down to Watergate Bay, its a steep climb back up but worth it. There are no dog walks on site or a children's play area which for us was fine. We were staying just after half term so children were few and far between. All dog owners were respectful of the rules. My only negative to report on this visit was that we had a couple of exceedingly windy nights and it would have been nice if the staff had come round during the day and checked that everyone had survived. Although I was in a motorhome it felt at times as if it was going to be blown over and it was a scary experience. The other negative was the highly scented toilet blocks that were being used (this is the first time there have been any since I have visited. I understand why they would be used but far better to put them in the cistern if they must be used and lets have less 'smelly' ones. I would imagine anyone with asthma or breathing problems may have found using the facilities difficult. Otherwise no problems, lovely site, and will be going back.

The site was perfect for coastal or country holidays. Plenty of walks. Dog friendly. Molly (our Scottie) enjoyed herself. Most of the nearby pubs allowed dogs in as well. Would recommend the site to all our friends.
