The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s stunning Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

Site access from A35 no worries, I approached it from Crewkerne on the B3165 to Scotts Lane.

Site access from A35 no worries, I approached it from Crewkerne on the B3165 to Scotts Lane. It is bendy and can be tight with approaching traffic so care is needed. Nice places to visit along the Dorset Coast with lovely walks. Enjoyed the visit and the site so will return.

Our first visit here and only our second time out with a new caravan.

Our first visit here and only our second time out with a new caravan. We thought the facilities were excellent. Plenty of shower cubicles, well equipped and thought out with seating, hooks for clothes and abundant hot water which was on an automatic timer but stayed on for a very reasonable amount of time, (unlike a previous site which infuriatingly, turned off after every 5-10 seconds!!) Grounds very well maintained and all the facilities absolutely spotless. Arthur really enjoyed the 'dog walk', which had brilliant bark covered path ways through trees - fantastic when the weather was wet (which it was) which meant no mud taken back in to the caravan, plus it covered a very sensible area - excellent for that early morning and late evening dog walk. We will definitely be coming back here again. Lovely site.

We enjoyed site clean facilities,Close to Places to visit.

We enjoyed site clean facilities,Close to Places to visit. Axminster only 5 minutes away with Tescos and fuel, Beer a lovely seaside village within easy reach (scones and clotted cream),this site is ideal base for visiting National Trust properties. Only thing that we found pitches could be a bit more level as we had to use wedges to level unit. we enjoyed the stay, staff helpful and we did get a choice of 3 pitches on arrival.
