For a short 2 night break we chose Verwood for its situation.

This review is for Verwood, New Forest

For a short 2 night break we chose Verwood for its situation. The helpfulness and friendliness of the welcome that we received was a great start to what proved to be a very enjoyable weekend. We visited Lymington and Milford on Sea, had extensive walks on coast and in forest and did not want to leave what we thought was a very nice site.

this was our first time at staying at verwood, on arriving we were shown to our pitch, which we asked if we could be by the dog walk, and we were right opposite, the staff were very freindly and were always there to help if needed, the dog walk was beautiful, and was a lovely walk in the evenings, the only thing was that it did say please keep dogs on leads and quite a few did'nt which is a shame, the sign is there for a reason, shower and toilet block were very clean and nice, will defintly be going back. a bit of noise from the road with tractors and lorrys but it did not worry us at all. after all its the countryside.

We stayed at the site for three nights at the weekend and loved it. Done lots of walking in the woods behind the site and plenty of relaxing in this lovely quiet site (apart from the annoying barking dog opposite). The only downside to the site is the walk to the local pub and town were there is no pavement for most of the way (busy road).
