    Top site for beaches

On Scotland's sunshine coast, to the east of the country's capital, Edinburgh.

Our peaceful Dunbar Club campsite is just a stone’s throw from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay - a long stretch of sandy surfing beach.

Spectacular landscapes surround the campsite, ensuring wherever you are pitched you have a stunning view. Seaward the impressive views extend over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock – temporary nesting spot for 150,000 seabirds during peak season.

The campsite is well laid out and spacious with 90 pitches, some of which are hardstands. Modern facilities, including a wetsuit shower are available.

Dunbar, three miles from the campsite, offers shops, places to eat and more beaches. East beach, minutes from the town centre is great for bathing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking.

Inland other attractions include East Links Family Park with animals and a narrow gauge railway; the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, where you can view gannets, puffins and seals from interactive live cameras.

Worth Noting

Most pitches have sea views and there is a large picnic area overlooking the coast. There is a large Sunday market/car boot sale every week at East Fortune ten miles from the site.

WiFi

The WiFi service is excellent throughout the campsite. Prices.

Eat Local

Belhaven Fruit Farm is four miles from site, and Dunbar High Street consists of almost entirely independent shops including numerous cafés, an organic greengrocer, community bakery, and a wet fish shop.

We came to Dunbar for our 3rd and final stop on our soctland trip, we found this site our favorite out of the three sites we went to, on arrival staff we helpful and happy to help. We had a view of the sea from our pitch which took us about 20 minutes to ride to beings we had small children with us the beach was lovely and very well kept. We drove to the town which has free parking and plently of shops. Dunbar is great for bike riding with children and those with out. The site is very well kept the staff have made it lovely with all the flowers and plants, the shop is well stocked and if it doesn't have what you need an asda is just down the road. This site has a family room which makes the shower trip so much less stressful it has plently of space and is kept nice and warm which is just what you need when you have little ones. We were pitched by the park which is nice and big and next to a field where the children can fly kites but it also has plently of pitches in more peacful parts of the site. On the Saturday a burger van came to the site which is a must try excellent quality and good prices. Overall we loved Dunbar and will 100% be going again.

We have been caravanning on and off for many years and our return to the C&CC has proved to be a breath of fresh air. The warmest of welcomes by all of the site staff followed by genuinely sociable fellow campers has made this one of the best holidays for ages. The site has commanding views over the Firth of Forth and the Bass Rock which is ever changing with the the weather and light. Great inspiration for artists! Beautiful sunsets etc etc. PS. It really is THE friendly club.
