Overview

Explore the villages, towns and coast of the south east from this campsite.

Our Crowborough Club campsite lies in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Ashdown Forest, the setting for A.A.Milnes wonderful Winnie the Pooh books is on the doorstep. London is around 35 miles to the north and the historic spa town of Tunbridge Wells seven miles north west. While the coastal towns of Eastbourne, Brighton and Hastings are around 20 miles away.

The campsite is well laid out. Trees and hedges divide the site giving a more secluded feel in some areas and some sheltered pitches for tent campers. A good range of on-site facilities are available including toilet and showers, a laundry, disabled facilities and a recreation room.

Woodland walks can be enjoyed direct from the campsite and the neighbouring park and leisure centre and swimming pool provide convenient entertainment for younger family members.

Crowborough town is a ten-minute walk from the campsite and offers shops and a good range of places to eat. Visit Tunbridge Wells for its elegant architecture and the Pantiles – a colonnaded walkway where you can browse, shop, eat and stroll.

For family days out visit Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, Chiddingstone Caste, The Mill Toy and Pedal Car Museum and The Kent and East Sussex Railway. Biddenden is just one of many Vineyards in the area.

Worth Noting

Many pitches are sloping and chocks will be required. Recreation room with table tennis for hire.

Just returned from our 3rd stay at this site. A lovely site in a good area.

Just returned from our 3rd stay at this site. A lovely site in a good area. We are always very impressed with how friendly and welcoming the site managers are. They go above the expected and made our stay exceptional with activities for the children and adults. More showers could be the only suggestion for the site in busy summer months. Although we have not had any wait during our stays (April and oct) Thank you for another great stay in crowborough.

Arrived August Bank Holiday Sunday for 3 nights, so site was full. We were parked next to the lower toilet block. To our surprise, we did not have any problems finding a free shower in the mornings, even though there were only 2 provided in each of the ladies & gents. Having said that we do agree that they could do with an update. We chose this site specifically because there were buses at the end of the drive to either Tunbridge Wells or Brighton in the opposite direction. Will definitely come back again if in this area.

Stayed only one night but loved it very peaceful even though it seemed full.

Stayed only one night but loved it very peaceful even though it seemed full. the staff very helpful. The two toilet blocks are old but very clean but only 4 women's and 4 men's showers don't use in peak times and you'd be ok.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, even lending us a spirit level to set up the trailer tent. We had a gas bottle leak and the staff came out at 9pm to bring a wrench and tighten the connection. The play area in the park next door was very good and the leisure centre (although undergoing major alterations) gives a discount for campers at this site. The site is well maintained and quite secluded. We will definitely be returning.
