Things to do whilst camping in Abersoch

Abersoch is a hotspot for those who love the outdoors and, more importantly, watersport activities. If you enjoy surfing, swimming, paddleboarding, canoeing or kayaking, you’ll appreciate visiting Porth Neigwl, better known as Hell’s Mouth Beach. This beach is popular among the surfing and kayaking community because of its impressive waves. It's also less busy than other beaches that you'll find scattered around Northern Wales, thus making it a peaceful escape.

When the tide is high, the beach predominantly consists of medium-sized pebbles. However, during low tide, a long stretch of beautiful golden sand leads you to the water. So remember to bring a beach towel on your camping trip and some fun activities to do when you’re not splashing around in the water.

Whilst camping in Abersoch, you can also go fishing on the beach and harbour. You’ll be able to catch multiple types of fish, including flounders, rays, whiting, mullet, dogfish, bass, dabs and mackerel.

Don’t worry too much if you don’t have your fishing gear on you because there are numerous stores scattered around the village that sell fishing equipment and bait. They can also show you the best places to catch specific fish and if you want to go further out into the water, you can hire a boat.
