Sandringham Club campsite is in a delightfully secluded spot, within the grounds of the Royal Estate in Norfolk.

Campers will love the tranquillity offered by this woodland site where many pitches are set among trees. Away from the site nature and RSPB reserves and the sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast including Hunstanton and Brancaster will keep all family members entertained.

You won’t have to venture to far from your unit to find things to do at this Club Site. The Sandringham Estate, the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, has more than 60 acres of gardens and 600 acres of woodland and heath – over a quarter of which make up the country park which is open to the public. There’s also a visitor centre, a restaurant and a museum of royal memorabilia and vehicles.

Quiet roads and forest tracks around the site are ideal for walkers and dog walkers. Cyclists too can enjoy the quiet roads and Norfolk Coast Cycleway which passes the site.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

The site is now fully digital and TV reception is good.

Sandringham is a lovely site to stay.

This review is for Sandringham

Sandringham is a lovely site to stay. The staff are very friendly and the site has all the facilities you would need for your stay. The pitches are spread out in such a way that everyone has their own space. Great for all ages.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff very friendly on arrival. Facilities are clean but quite dated. Good dog walks in the woods. We booked a hardstanding pitch, but it was a mixture or mud and hardstanding, would have been better on a grass pitch. Pigeons drove us mad, up and down the campervan roof from about 4am in the morning, the roof was covered in bird poo next morning. Fsh and chip van came on the Saturday evening and parked behind our van for about 1.5hours, generator running and awful smell of cooking, think its a good idea but not parked near campers.

Staff were fantastic rating is only downgraded due to the lac of soap dispensers in the wash rooms which means that over 80% of washroom users leave toilet area without having been able to wash hands properly - this presents a clear risk of spread of infection ask any member of hospital staff requirements of washing hands - water without soap does nothing! ****REQUIRES A CLUB POLICY THAT EACH WASH BASIN HAS SOAP DISPENSER**** The above is a major concern for us as we both have very poor immune systems. As already stated staff were fantastic - immediately realised they had not realised we needed to be near facilities and relocated us so my wife could access everything. Only wish we had discovered this site when we still had our Collie as the walks from the site direct into the forest would have provided a great adventure.

This is a very local site for me, I live just a few miles away. But although it's close it's like entering a different world - I could be 200 miles away. It's a lovely woodland site, with the most wonderful views. Up early in the morning and you'll see rabbits and overfed pigeons wandering around and even the occasional wonderful wild Deer wandering by. Less than a mile away is a nature reserve, where butterflies, birds and animals can be seen together with stunning rural views and plant life. Wolferton railway station is also close (next to the nature reserve) now disused but brilliantly preserved by a private owner who warmly welcomes visitors. For many years Royalty arrived here on their way to Sandringham House. And of course there's Sandringham visitors centre and Sandringham House too all within a short walk of the camp site. Yes, it's all on my doorstep (I'm very lucky) but I can't recommend it highly enough so do visit. It's my escape, my sanctuary and it could be yours too. I cannot recommend the site highly enough!
