Chertsey is on the banks of the Thames, just a 30-minute train ride from London.

This lovely riverside campsite is an oasis in the suburbs. It has a really rural feel yet is just a 30-minute train ride to London from the Weybridge station. It’s also perfectly placed for visiting some of the country’s best-loved theme parks (Lego Land, Thorpe Park and Chessington), as well as the world-famous Kew, Wisely and Savill gardens. Hampton Court and Chelsea flower shows are also within easy reach from here.

This popular site is on the banks of the River Thames. Bag yourself a riverside pitch and watch the many pleasure craft sail by. Walkers will enjoy the Thames Path Nature Trail, a towpath leading to Staines.

The sheltered site provides great facilities for campers, including a games room with TV and table tennis table.

Worth Noting

The site is outside the Congestion Charge and Low Emission Zones. Fishing is available 16 June-15 March. Towcars must remain on site overnight. Super Service pitches have TV aerial sockets. The Weybridge station is located 4 Miles from the campsite. Those with motorhomes who wish to use this station are advised to use a taxi when possible.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available.

Eat Local

The farm shop in Lyne (approx. 10 min drive) sells a range of home-grown fruit and vegetables as wellas goose eggs, fresh bread, chutney, jams and more.

We arrived a little early, we was greeted in a very welcoming manner. Payment transaction and setting up on site was nice. The care taker helped me back van in place, and he was very patient with my newbie skills. Once settled in I noticed how quiet the site was, I felt our children were the only ones making noise, I think distance between pitches helps this out. We felt we had plenty of room from van to van. The amenities where so clean it was like being at home. Hot spacious showers, sink space and plenty of toilets. Water points were dotted everwhere around site and good enough was a point right near our van that allowed waste disposal too. I only had to do a 30 second/ minute walk to chemical disposal. I cant say a bad word about the site, only good etc. The little on site trailer cafe was fab, the owner and her helper were very friendly and helpful. My wife has recently started slimming world and they did there very best to cater for this cause. The food was ample and cooked lovely, generous portions but delivered with a good old chinwag. The sites location was perfect for us, we did Windsor Castle one day, then legoland another. Our friends have moved to Addlestone so location was perfect for being the next town along. Train station a short journey away which ive used previously to this visit, direct into London to Waterloo station. Also the M25 is quite near within a few miles so your London world is an oyster for inner or outer London. The site itself is located bang on the river Thames, simply hold beer in one hand and lean on the riverbank fence with the other, pure bliss. Ok, the only bug bare is planes, one every few minutes, sometimes less frequent too, my kids loved it and in all honesty so did I, but i know some people will be annoyed but to be honest you only hear them for 30 seconds and lets face it how amazing is it to watch planes soaring in or out even her majesty's Windsor Castle is bang under flight path. Enjoy

We've just returned from a lovely weekend.

We've just returned from a lovely weekend. The campsite is well laid out, spacious, pretty, relaxing. There's enough amenities nearby if you've forgotten something or want to visit a local pub for a meal. Occasional plane noise but it's really not too bad. Toilet block is warm, spotlessly clean and great showers. We'll definitely be returning.
