Chertsey is on the banks of the Thames, just a 30-minute train ride from London.

This lovely riverside campsite is an oasis in the suburbs. It has a really rural feel yet is just a 30-minute train ride to London from the Weybridge station. It’s also perfectly placed for visiting some of the country’s best-loved theme parks (Lego Land, Thorpe Park and Chessington), as well as the world-famous Kew, Wisely and Savill gardens. Hampton Court and Chelsea flower shows are also within easy reach from here.

This popular site is on the banks of the River Thames. Bag yourself a riverside pitch and watch the many pleasure craft sail by. Canoeists can launch from here, while walkers will enjoy the Thames Path Nature Trail, a towpath leading to Staines.

The sheltered site provides great facilities for campers, including a games room with TV and table tennis table.

Worth Noting

The site is outside the Congestion Charge and Low Emission Zones. Fishing is available 16 June-15 March. Towcars must remain on site overnight (due to the possibility of flooding). Super Service pitches have TV aerial sockets. The Weybridge station is located 4 Miles from the campsite. Those with motorhomes who wish to use this station are advised to use a taxi when possible

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

The farm shop in Lyne sells a range of home-grown fruit and vegetables as wellas goose eggs, fresh bread, chutney, jams and more.

Very good site as base for travel to the city. Taxi from site to Weybridge 10, then 30 mins into Waterloo. Pitches very well spaced, not cramped at all. Showers and amenities very clean. Definitely would visit again and recommend highly to others. Thanks to all the staff.

We are a family with two boys, aged 9 & 6. We were looking for a site to use a base to visit Thorpe Park, Chessington Zoo, LEGOLAND and a day trip to London. The site is very well kept and set in a natural environment, woodland area next to the River Thames. Across the road from the site is a handy Spar that is open 24hrs. A 2 minute walk over the Thames and you will find the Kingfisher Pub, great VFM, service and food. Our dog was welcome on the site, we hate using kennels so we used a local dog sitter (day and nights available) to look after him whilst we went out for the day, dropping him off in the morning and collecting him after our day out. The lady looks after them at her own house with a few acres of land for them to play in all for only 15 a day, for more info contact Sonia on 07723 014258. This made our holiday, it meant we could take our dog with us, have a great day out without worrying, then collecting him at the end of the day. Most days he came back shattered..... Running with the other dogs all day! So, in summary, this is a great site for families looking to visit the theme parks.

We did not know what to expect but found the site was quiet (you do not hear the planes after a short time).Access to the Thames is great and we spent a day going along the river as far as Hamption Court. Facilities are very good and all the staff are very helpful. Would recommend Chertsey as a good base for exploring the Thames and surrounding area.
