In 1929 Lord Baden-Powell, Chief Scout and President of The Camping Club, as it was then known, was given a Rolls Royce tow car and Eccles caravan to mark the 21st birthday of the Scout movement he had founded.
Every Scout was invited to donate a penny so his affectionately named ‘Jam Roll and Eccles’ was a personal gift from the Scouts of the world.
