There’s no doubt about it, the Outwell Country Road Tall SA is a premium awning. It is a new addition to the company’s popular Smart Air (SA) Touring Collection and is made from quality materials inside and out. The attention to detail and build quality of even the smallest components is certainly a hallmark of Outwell products, and you can expect the same with the Country Road Tall SA. As is typical of an air-tube awning, pitching is a relatively simple process. When testing, I found it easiest to half inflate the awning so there was some semblance of its shape, before positioning it correctly and attaching it to the motorhome, and then fully inflating it. The awning fits motorhomes between 240cm and 290cm in height so it has a good level of versatility. It will attach to an awning rail or, if your vehicle does not have one, you can run guylines over the roof and peg them down on the opposite side. I opted for the latter method in my test and it was relatively easy. Using a tennis ball to wrap the guyline around before throwing it over the unit worked well. Once the awning is pegged down where you want it and it’s fully inflated, it’s just a case of pegging out the bright yellow (and highly visible) guylines.
