Many of us will be familiar with a wind-out awning, even if you’ve not used one yourself you’ve probably seen one in use. It’s definitely convenient and easy to use. The awning is permanently mounted to the side of your caravan or motorhome – in this case a Hymer A-class – and when you pitch-up you simply wind it out with the crank-handle and deploy the legs to stabilise it. For the avid touring camper, where you’re on the move frequently, it’s a brilliant accessory to have.
