Smoking Bishop
This is a warming Christmas drink, perfect for chilly nights on the campsite
The Smoking Bishop was popular with the Victorians and even mentioned by Dicken’s in A Christmas Carol. The ‘smoking’ part refers to the wisp of steam rising from the bowl it’s made in. Original recipes state you shouldn’t let it boil lest you evaporate any of the alcohol.
