It may come as a surprise that Kent’s Heritage Coast has not only made it onto Lonely Planet’s top regions to visit in 2022 list, but it has beaten exotic locations including Puerto Rico and Shikkoku in Japan, being pipped only by destinations in Iceland, the US and China to a respectable fourth place.
