Top site for beaches
Enjoy coast and countryside from this popular north Norfolk site near Cromer.
You can get a feel for the beautiful and varied Norfolk coast and countryside from our Club campsite at West Runton.
Our pretty and spacious campsite commands a secluded location close to the quaint seaside village with which it shares its name. Trees surround this beautifully maintained site. Facilities include roomy showers, a parent and child room, laundry and washing up area and a lovely dog walk.
Just a short walk from the campsite brings you to the quaint fishing village of West Runton. Its sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing while the plentiful rock pools are waiting to be explored.
For more sandy beaches, piers and promenades Sheringham, Cromer (both within walking distance of the campsite) and Caister-on-Sea tick the boxes.
A mile south of West Runton, Beacon Hill is the highest point in Norfolk. Scale the dizzy height of 300ft and you’ll be rewarded with views over the countryside and coast.
For nature lovers Blakeney Point is a must. This mix of dune, marsh and shingle is home to seals and a variety of birds. Catch a ferry from Mortson Quay to see them. There are more animals to be seen at the Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre close to the campsite.
Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we
welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not
permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

A very friendly site with families returning every year/holiday. Lots to do within easy distance and a good local bus service along the coast. Have booked for August and our son will find friends from our recent visit and lots of new friends at the play area.

Some have commented on the bumpy access lane, we were in a motorhome so whilst we rock and roll a little driving along it. But frankly whilst I comment, it is not a problem so don't be put off whether towing or in a mh as we were. It was end of term for the site as it was closing for the winter on the day we left so we were there on the last 2 nights of the season, even so the facilities were spic and span with no sign of a season's use. There are some pleasant walks from the site which we enjoyed. We also drove into Cromer and parked up in the car park on the cliffs, not a problem even with the motorhome (which is 7.2mtrs long) and had a pleasant walk along the lower prom into town and up the pier. Sadly Cromer had a somewhat 'down at heel' end of season feel to it although the fish and chip places were doing good business. Whilst we would perhaps reserve our judgement about Cromer, the West Runton site is a good one and is well located for more general touring round North Norfolk and for that reason we will be back.

We have been visiting this site at least once a year for about ten years, with our two dogs. The site is always clean and tidy, and if you pitch away from the children's playground, very peaceful.
There are no roads adjacent to this site. Both Cromer and Sheringham are about three miles away. They can both be visited on foot using footpaths with very little road walking. The sandy beach at East Runton is only about a mile away on foot, but over two miles by car. At low tide you can walk along the sand from West Runton to Cromer.
A few hundred yards from the campsite finds you sitting on a bench on top of Incleborough Hill, with views up and down the coast.
The only downside is the long track from the road to the site entance, but the excellent location makes up for this.
If you like walking in the country and on the beach, and have dogs, this is definitely a site to consider.
